Let us introduce you to Juan Diaz — a man who juggles bullets & bedtime stories like a pro. Originally from Colombia & now based in Miami, Juan’s life is what happens when tactical meets dad mode. He’s got over 15 years of experience in the gun world, works at a gun shop (yes, he lives the dream), & spends his off-hours being the kind of dad who could probably clear a double-feed faster than you can say “juice box.”
Juan’s not just your average shooter, he’s a firearms collector, certified instructor, & someone who reps the 2A community louder than a .50 cal. Whether he’s teaching first-timers how to safely handle a pistol or helping customers pick their next build, Juan’s mission is clear: safe, responsible gun ownership… with just the right amount of sarcasm.
So how’d Juan get into Guts & Grit?
“Honestly, I saw some people I follow rocking the shirts & I had to check it out,” he told us. “The designs were badass & basically screamed everything I stand for.” (We blushed. Then added three more to his cart.)
And we’ve gotta admit, he wears them everywhere.
“Range days, family dinners, kids’ soccer practice… if I’m breathing, I’m probably wearing Guts & Grit.” That’s the kind of versatility we like to hear.
When asked about his favorite design, Juan didn’t even hesitate: “Act Peaceful, Be Dangerous.” Why? “Because that’s me. I’m the funniest, chillest dude in the room — but don’t test me. The switch will flip.” Noted.
You can catch Juan in action (& possibly showing off a new shirt) over on Instagram: @florida_tactician. Give him a follow — you won’t regret it. His posts are equal parts tactical tips, dark humor, & dad energy.
Before he signed off, Juan dropped two pieces of wisdom we’re now printing on T-shirts (probably):
- “Stay strapped or get clapped.”
- “My pronouns are tap/rack/bang.”
That’s Juan Diaz — funny, fearless, & fully committed to this wild & wonderful community we’re all building together. So whether you’re here for the gear, the message, or just to find out what shirt to wear to soccer practice, we’re glad you’re here.
Now go ahead, check out the collections — Juan says people will ask where you got it.
