Faith & Firepower: Meet Annah

Faith & Firepower: Meet Annah

Talking about purpose is easy, but living it costs something. Annah is familiar with that price.

Eight years ago, Annah and her family sold everything and stepped into the mission field. They moved to Montana and started Mission 91, built on Psalm 91. Their work puts them right in the middle of crisis situations, showing up for people on some of their worst days.

The mission is simple, really. Be the hands and feet of Jesus when it actually matters.

They do not take a salary. Their work is supported by ministry partners who believe in what they're doing. To help support their family, Annah and her husband also work as firearms instructors, training others in real world skills.

Why Guts & Grit

Annah found Guts & Grit through a women's online Bible study. The women in this group care about faith, strength, and being capable. Her words were simple: "Warrior women." It says enough.

How She Lives It

Annah is a stay at home mom. She homeschools, she trains, and she shows up. Guts & Grit fits because it moves with her through all of it.. workouts, kids' practices, errands, training days, and preparing for the Tactical Games. It is all part of the same life.

What She Stands For

Her favorite design is "Liberty or Death." Not for the look, but what it means. She watched 9/11 in school. Her husband served in OIF and OEF. She understands the cost of freedom on a personal level.

She believes in liberty, but she does not blindly follow leadership. She thinks for herself and is raising her kids to do the same.. to understand both the cost of freedom and the cost of following Christ.

Faith, Loss, and Conviction

Annah and her husband have been married for 20 years. They have three kids here with them and two they will meet in Heaven. That kind of life shapes you. It forces you to get clear on what is important. One phrase has stayed with Annah through all of it.

Disobedience is not an option.

From Awareness to Action

Three years ago, Annah made a decision. She was responsible for her safety and her family's safety, so she started training. Now she is a certified firearms instructor, helping others become more capable and confident, whether they are just starting or pushing into higher level training.

Final Word

Annah doesn't need to try to look the part because she's living it.

Faith. Responsibility. Capability. And that is what Guts & Grit stands for.
